In order to deepen the cooperation between China and Laos in the field of education and promote the further implementation of the "Belt and Road" initiative and the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Laos, on the afternoon of June 24, Mr. Kingmano PHOMMAHAXAY and his entourage visited our college and carried out a series of fruitful exchange activities. Peng Weibin, Secretary of the Party Committee of our college, accompanied the tour and presided over the meeting. Hu Weiguo, President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Zheng Wei, member of the Party Committee and Vice President, attended the meeting.

Mr. Kingmano PHOMMAHAXAY and his entourage visited our college’s "UAV" comprehensive training room, CMF innovative design training center, hotel management training room, etc., and had an in-depth understanding of our college's teaching and practice achievements in the fields of drone technology, innovative design and hotel management, and spoke highly of our college's advanced training facilities and distinctive professional settings. At the meeting, Mr. Kingmano PHOMMAHAXAY spoke highly of the achievements of the School of Security Management in the field of vocational education, and said that the visit opened up new possibilities for cooperation between China and Laos in the field of education. He stressed that educational cooperation is an important part of China-Laos friendly relations, and hoped that the two sides would take this exchange as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation, jointly cultivate more high-quality talents, and inject new impetus into the economic and social development of the two countries.

    Since the establishment in 2013, our college has always adhered to the spirit of the school motto of “Cultivating Virtue and Ability, Integrating Knowledge and Action”, adhered to the school-running philosophy of “dislocation development, winning with uniqueness”, and is committed to cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents for local economic and social development. At present, we have six major groups, 33 majors, and more than 10,000 students, and has made remarkable achievements in the integration of industry and education, international exchanges, etc. Over the years, our college has adhered to the concept of “openness, cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win”, made every effort to expand international exchange and cooperation channels, and vigorously cultivated students’ international vision and cross-cultural communication skills. At present, we have signed cooperation agreements or memorandums with more than 30 universities in more than 10 countries, including South Korea, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Germany, and the United Kingdom, and has carried out a number of substantive educational exchanges and cooperation.

The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the joint construction of the “Silk Road E-commerce Academy”, and hoped that through the joint efforts of both sides, the “Silk Road E-commerce Academy” will become a model of China-Laos educational cooperation and cultivate professionals in the field of cross-border e-commerce for regional economic development.

At the meeting, our university signed a friendly cooperation agreement with the Industrial Integration Working Committee of the China Council for The Promotion of National Trade, which attended the event. According to the agreement, the two sides will further strengthen cooperation in teacher exchanges, joint training of students, and sharing of curriculum resources, and jointly promote the construction of the “Cross-border E-commerce Industry College” to help the international development of regional industries.

The visit of the Deputy Minister of Education and Sports of Laos, Mr. Kingmano PHOMMAHAXAY, and his delegation has laid a solid foundation for the in-depth cooperation between our college and relevant universities and institutions in Laos. In the future, our college will continue to give full play to its own advantages, accurately meet the needs of the national “Belt and Road” initiative and the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Laos, continuously innovate the model of “vocational education going overseas”, and strive to create a “security model” for international exchanges and cooperation in vocational education, so as to make new and greater contributions to promoting China-Laos education cooperation and regional economic development.
