On the afternoon of March 11, President of Astana IT University in Kazakhstan, Rector Askar Khikmetov and his delegation visited our university, and the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges and cooperation negotiations on the joint construction of the "China-Kazakhstan Silk Road College".

 Hu Weiguo stated that the friendship between China and Kazakhstan has a long history, and the cooperation with Astana IT University is an important measure to actively respond to the "Belt and Road" initiative and promote international education under the framework of the permanent comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Kazakhstan. We look forward to exploring new cooperation paths with Astana IT University in the fields of talent training, faculty-student exchanges, scientific research and innovation through resource sharing and complementary advantages, so as to achieve win-win development.

At the meeting, the presidents of the two universities officially signed a cooperation agreement on the joint construction of the "China-Kazakhstan Silk Road College". The signing of this agreement marks that the two universities have entered a substantial stage of international education cooperation.

In the cooperation and exchange session, the two sides had a warm and in-depth discussion on topics such as faculty-student exchanges, student training, joint school-running models, and academic exchanges, and reached a number of cooperation consensuses.
